How to Change Themes, Fonts and Text Size in Flincth Speed Reader

Make the reader comfortable: light or dark, text size, the dyslexia-friendly font, the focus letter, custom colours and saved presets.

There are two ways in:

  • While reading, tap Reader settings (the gear at the top). Changes show straight away behind the sheet; More reading settings opens the full list.
  • From the library, open Settings and choose Reading & Appearance. A preview at the top shows how text will look.

Free for everyone

  • The Automatic, Light and Dark themes. Automatic follows your device.
  • Text size for the reading text, separate from the size of the rest of the app, which follows iOS text size.
  • The System font and OpenDyslexic, a dyslexia-friendly font.
  • Focus guides and Hide controls while reading.
  • The accessibility settings it supports: larger text, increased contrast and Reduce Motion. Accessibility is never part of Pro.

With Pro

  • More themes (True Black, Sepia, Paper, Dusk and Forest) and Custom with your own Background and Text colours.
  • More fonts, such as New York and Rounded.
  • Focus letter on or off, and its Focus letter color.
  • Presets: tap Save Current Settings as Preset… and give it a name, such as Night or Study. Switch between presets in one tap; swipe one away to delete it.

On the free plan, Pro settings show a lock. Tapping one opens the Pro offer and leaves your current settings exactly as they were.

Your choices are kept

If you set something up during the 7-day Pro trial and the trial ends, the reader goes back to the free look, but nothing you chose is deleted. Buy Pro later and it all comes back; Settings → Plan says how many of your saved customizations Pro would restore.
